BEST TIME :- The best time to visit Charang and Kunnu villages in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh is from May to June and September to October. During these windows, the weather is pleasant, the snows have cleared, and the remote, non-connected routes are safest for travel.

TEMPERATURES :- Summer (May & June): The most accessible time to visit. The weather is clear, and it is perfect for high-altitude trekking toward the Charang La Pass and exploring local monasteries. Daytime temperatures range between 05° C and 20° C, though nights remain cold.

ABOUT :- Charang and Kunnu are remote, twin trans-Himalayan villages located in the breathtaking Tidong Valley of the Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh, India. Sitting at an altitude of approximately 3,400 to 3,500 meters, they are among the last inhabited settlements near the Indo-Tibetan border. Monsoon (July to August): Generally not recommended. Kinnaur faces unpredictable weather with heavy rain, cloudbursts, and frequent landslides along the cliffhanger routes. Trekking paths can become slippery and treacherous.Autumn (September & October): Widely regarded as the most beautiful time. Post-monsoon, the valley offers crisp skies, lush green to golden meadows, and the best visibility for mountain peaks.Winter (November to April): The region experiences sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall. Roads leading to these remote villages are frequently closed, making it inaccessible for regular travelers.
